Halmoni

Privacy Policy

Last updated 3 September 2026

The short version. This website collects one thing: your email address, and only if you type it into the waitlist form. The Halmoni app is not yet available to the public, so nothing on this site holds anyone’s health information. There are no cookies, no analytics and no advertising here.

1. Who is responsible

Hana Choi is responsible for the information described here and decides what is collected and why. Contact: privacy@halmoni.app.

2. What this website collects

Your email address, if you join the waitlist. The form sends it to Formspree, a form-handling service, which stores it and forwards it to us. We use it for one purpose: to email you when Halmoni becomes available. We do not sell it, share it with advertisers, or add you to any other list. Ask us at the address above and we will delete it.

Nothing else. No account, no cookies, no analytics, no advertising or tracking identifiers, and no record of the pages you visit.

3. The Care Kit viewer

If someone sends you a Halmoni care kit link, the page at /view downloads an encrypted file and decrypts it in your browser using the passphrase the sender gave you. The passphrase is never sent anywhere, and the readable contents never reach our servers or anyone else’s. What the storage provider sees is an encrypted file being requested, along with the network address that requested it.

4. Services we rely on

ServiceWhat it handles
VercelHosts this website
FormspreeReceives the waitlist form and stores the email addresses submitted through it
SupabaseStores encrypted care-kit files, in the United States
Google FontsServes the typefaces. Your browser requests them directly from Google, so Google sees your network address when a page loads.

5. How long we keep things

Waitlist email addresses are kept until Halmoni launches and we have told you, or until you ask us to delete yours — whichever comes first. Care kit files carry an expiry set by whoever created them and can be revoked by that person at any time.

6. Your choices

Write to privacy@halmoni.app and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You do not need an account to ask, and there is no charge.

7. Children

This website is not directed at children and the waitlist is not intended for them.

8. When the app launches

The Halmoni app handles health information about the person your family cares for, which is a far more sensitive category than anything described above. It will have its own, much more detailed privacy policy, published here before the app is available to anyone outside our own testing. This page covers the website as it exists today and nothing more.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
