Halmoni is a coordination tool, not a medical device and not a clinician. It helps your family keep track of what you record. It does not check whether a medication or dose is correct or safe.
These terms are the agreement between you and Hana Choi ("we", "us") for the Halmoni app and halmoni.app. By using Halmoni you accept them.
1. What Halmoni does
Halmoni lets a family record and share the care of someone they look after — medications, doses, appointments, symptoms, notes, and who is on duty. It shows you what your family has entered. That is all it does.
2. Not medical advice
Halmoni does not give medical advice and is not a substitute for a doctor, nurse, or pharmacist. Specifically:
- It does not verify that a medication, dose, or schedule is correct.
- It does not check for drug interactions or contraindications.
- A reminder is a convenience, not a guarantee. Notifications can be delayed or missed for reasons outside our control — a device off, silenced, out of battery, or without a signal.
- An empty log means nobody recorded a dose. It does not mean a dose was not taken.
Always rely on your prescriber and pharmacist for what to give and when. In an emergency, call your local emergency number. Do not use Halmoni to seek urgent help.
3. Your account
You must be 18 or older. Keep access to your email secure, since that is how you sign in. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for who you invite into your family — an invited member can see that family's records.
4. Recording someone else's information
You confirm you have the authority or agreement of the person you are caring for to record their health information in Halmoni and share it with the family members you invite. If you lose that authority, remove the information.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use Halmoni to break the law, to store information you have no right to, or to harass anyone. Do not attempt to access another family's data, probe or attack the service, or automate access to it. We may suspend accounts doing any of this.
6. Availability
We aim to keep Halmoni running and your data safe, but the service is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Keep your own record of anything you cannot afford to lose. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue the service, we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your data.
7. Ending it
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app — Account, then Delete account. What happens to your family's records is described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms.
8. Our liability
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for harm arising from a missed, late, or incorrectly recorded dose, reminder or appointment. Halmoni records what you tell it; the clinical decisions remain yours and your prescriber's.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Halmoni means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, whose courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
